interest has waned in the original subject), I will make only this
final post in **this** thread on social responsibility.

Your well-written paragraph on what you perceive to be your
responsibility is completely commendable by almost any standard {What
does that Kev mean by **almost**???}. I ask only this one question
(consider it rhetorical, if you like).

Does your sense of social responsibility emanate from some
obligation you feel is imposed by the presence of others in your world
{i.e. you owe them} OR by a conscious decision on your part, made of
your own volition, to actively engage in what you believe is the
betterment of society at large {i.e. you want to}??
