Tori Spelling Is Expecting a Boy
TUESDAY DECEMBER 12, 2006 07:50AM EST
By Ulrica Wihlborg
Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott are expecting a baby boy, PEOPLE has
learned exclusively.
"We are thrilled to be having a son together," says Spelling, 33. "Little
boys are a ton of fun. We love talking to him. We play tunes for him and
watch him kick. He already loves the Dixie Chicks! We went to their concert
and he kicked the whole time."
McDermott, 39, who has a son, Jack, 8, from a previous marriage, adds: "Now
Jack will have the baby brother he's been wanting!" (This will be Spelling's
first child.)
The boy will be given the middle name Aaron after Spelling's late father,
legendary TV producer Aaron Spelling, who died in June. "Yes, his middle
name will be Aaron," Spelling, who is six months pregnant, tells PEOPLE.
"Dean and I feel it's the perfect way to honor the memory of my father."
The parents-to-be are still deciding on a first name.
The couple spent Sunday morning shopping for their baby's first clothes at
the celeb favorite Intuition - where Spelling had ordered a hooded blue bath
towel embroidered with the name Aaron.
"When she saw the towel with her dad's name on it, she got a little
emotional," says Intuition owner Jaye Hersh. "She said she was so happy they
were having a boy so she could honor her dad. It means a lot to her."
The couple also bought a selection of onesies, booties, a baby food
organizer and two diaper bags for mom and dad.
"They are so excited to be parents," says Hersh. "It was the first time Tori
was shopping for clothes for her baby boy, and they loved picking out little
outfits for him. Dean was really into the clothes, and he carried all the
packages out of the store. He's very protective of her."

Clay Aiken reads, sings to Pa. kids
Two girls fell out of their front row seats when "American Idol" runner-up
Clay Aiken strode on stage at the school assembly.
Lower Nazareth Elementary School students gathered Monday at the district
high school's auditorium to celebrate 19 classmates who wrote, "Our Friend
Mikayla," published earlier this year by the Bubel/Aiken Foundation, which
works on behalf of children with special needs.
Mikayla Resh, who has cerebral palsy and uses a wheelchair, was the subject
of the biography, written and illustrated by her third-grade classmates two
years ago. Her mother, Kimberly Resh, arranged the all-school assembly to
thank them. The students were wide-eyed when Aiken, co-founder of the
foundation, appeared.
Aiken, who was appearing Monday night at the State Theatre in Easton, read
to the student body of more than 680 from the book, talked with the 19
authors, and posed for many photographs. To Mikayla, he sang a few lines
from "When I See You Smile." Then he announced a final treat: limousines to
take the students back to Lower Nazareth Elementary.
In the cars, boys popped open cans of soda and girls giggled. "Is this a
dream?" said one boy, Michael Allen. "It is like the first time I'll be in a
limo. It is so awesome!"

Actress gives $1 million to arts school
Jada Pinkett Smith has donated $1 million to her high school alma mater, the
Baltimore School for the Arts, asking that its new theater be dedicated to
classmate Tupac Shakur, who was shot and killed in 1996.
"It means a lot when you're a teacher and your most famous alumnus comes
back to give a donation," said Donald Hicken, head of the school's theater
department since its founding in 1980 and Pinkett Smith's former theater
teacher. "It really says a lot to the community that the school matters in
people's lives."
The donation from the Will and Jada Smith Family Foundation, which is based
in Baltimore, will be used for renovation and expansion. The school, which
announced the donation Monday, said it will name its new theater for Pinkett
Smith.
Pinkett Smith, 35, is married to Will Smith, who stars in the new movie "The
Pursuit of Happyness" with their 8-year-old son, Jaden.
The couple had previously given $112,500 to the school.
When a $30 million expansion program is finished in the fall of 2007, the
school will increase its enrollment from 316 to 375 students.
Karen Banfield Evans, executive director of the Smith Family Foundation, and
Pinkett Smith's aunt, said the actress was moved by the school's advances
since she graduated.
Pinkett Smith wanted the theater named for Shakur because of the friendship
they developed at the school. The rapper died after a drive-by shooting in
Las Vegas.
The actress has appeared in movies such as "Ali," which starred her husband,
and "Collateral," and she was the voice of the hippo Gloria in the 2005
animated film "Madagascar."
"The Pursuit of Happyness," a Sony Pictures release, opens in theaters
Friday.

Why do they have to put a condition on the donation? I can think of better
people to dedicate it to than Shakur. My sister just went through all this
with her son's private school; a murderer's brother wanted to donate
millions but it had to have their last name on the new wing (it was
overruled by outraged school parents, including the murder victim's brother
who's kid goes to the school.) So the jerk reduced the donation to a
fraction of his original amount.

Read it again...they are naming the building after HER and dedicating it to
Tupac (I agree they could find numerous people more worthy of a dedication).
So I guess her donation will be named after her!

Anyone see the new one? In the first ad she looked fine, like
herself...now there's a new one out and she's nearly unrecognizable.
In the 90's she looked this way too...I guess whatever she had done
then disintegrated and she started to look like herself again. But
it's started up again...

The total that you get is always a number divisible by 9. So all those
numbers have the same shape.
9 18 27 36 45 54 63 72 etc.

She's famous? The first time I saw her name was here. I'm not interested
enough to google her to find anything else other than she's a drunk and only
weighs 85 lbs. Should be a great life ahead of her.

What does that matter if he can kick my ass? The point is he had his

I agree. Has anyone noticed that the two most blatant abusers of the
English language in recent history have been Bush Sr.'s chosen Vice
President, and his son, Dumb-as-Dirt Dubya. Is English grammar simply
not taught in Texas? Does Bush, Sr. cherish those with perpetually
befuddled speech for some unknown reason? Certainly, there is evidence
that some ivy league schools are giving a free pass to some obvious
dolts.
I am a firm believer that speech is an indicator of intellect. Our
greatest Presidents have had a full command of the English language at
their disposal.
Dubya is "plenty smart', you say? Well, some might elevate him a notch
in their opinion if he would stop using informal speech in formal
settings.
(Dictionary Definition of Plenty - "Informal. fully; quite: plenty good
enough.")
Speech that might be "plenty" good enough in a Texas cattle auction is
a gross mistake when used by the occupant of the world's most powerful
office, in matters of international importance.
But then, that's a hot potato. Potatoe. Potat? I sometimes miss Dan
Quayle because it's a terrible thing to loose one's mind. . . Mind
one's loss? Let your grey matter slip?
Oh, hell with it. Dubya's just "a Texas girl like me" who just wants
"gynecologists to practice their love with women." But then, that's
another hot potat. French fry?

The reelection of Rep. William J. Jefferson (D-La.) illustrates yet
another instance of the Adam Clayton Powell Syndrome (ACPS) in
politics. (It also plays in jurisprudence and social behavior.)
By casting their votes for a man whose home freezer held some $90,000
in alleged bribe money, the nation's "black community" has again
demonstrated both a dim collective intelligence and an aversion to
eshewing spiteful but self-hurtful actions that are obviously aimed at
"stickin' it to whitey."
Of course, Powell, an African American, was the longtime U.S.
representative from New York City who was repeatedly reelected, gaining
a larger vote share the more both his personal and political lives
resembled those of craven crooks. The syndrome named after the
politician who seemed never able to pass up a bribe, a babe, or a bar
rears its sorry head every couple of years or so.
And it makes international headlines!
Louisiana this time.
* The acquittal of O.J. Simpson? Chalk it up to the ACPS.
* Acquittal of Michael Jackson? ACPS.
* Reelection of Jefferson? ACPS.
* Reelection of Marion Barry? ACPS.
* Reelection, since 1993, impeached "Judge" Rep. Alcee L. Hastings
(D-Fla.)? ACPS.
* Setting fire to and otherwise destroying their OWN homes and
neighborhoods during "race" riots? ACPS.
* "Forgiving," again and again serial philandering "men of the cloth"
like Jesse Jackson? ACPS.
The list goes on, but you get the picture.
Voting for, supporting, and participating in what rational minds would
consider persons and actions that are harmful to the "sponsors"' own
self-interests are all indicative of the ACPS and its ill- and
misinformed rationale and the mindset that embraces it.
Numerous Louisiana voters interviewed after Jefferson's reelection
rhetorically asked, "When do we stop committing acts that hold us up to
national embarrassment?"
How about, "Never!"
But please, everybody, tell me why Jefferson, whose indictment is
reported to be just weeks away (two co-conspirators have already
pleaded guilty to similar charges of bribery), will be of any REAL USE
to the fools who voted for him? Again ...

Angelina Jolie: How Brad Pitt & I Fell in Love
TUESDAY DECEMBER 12, 2006 10:20AM EST
By Stephen M. Silverman
For the first time, Angelina Jolie has described what happened between her
and Brad Pitt on the set of Mr. & Mrs. Smith - and she insists she never had
any intention of breaking up his marriage to Jennifer Aniston.
When she first met her costar on the set of the thriller in 2003, "I didn't
know much about exactly where Brad was in his personal life," Jolie, 31,
says in the January issue of Vogue, according to excerpts published in the
New York Post. "But it was clear he was with his best friend, someone he
loves and respects.
"And so we were both living, I suppose, very full lives. . I think we were
the last two people who were looking for a relationship. I certainly wasn't.
I was quite content to be a single mom."
But "Brad was a huge surprise to me. I, like most people, had a very distant
impression of him from . the media," she says.
"Because of the film, we ended up being brought together to do all these
crazy things, and I think we found this strange friendship and partnership
that kind of just suddenly happened. I think a few months in I realized,
'God, I can't wait to get to work.' . Anything we had to do with each other,
we just found a lot of joy in it together and a lot of real teamwork. We
just became kind of a pair."
They didn't start thinking about a relationship right away, she says. "It
took until, really, the end of the shoot for us, I think, to realize that it
might mean something more than we'd earlier allowed ourselves to believe.
And both knowing that the reality of that was a big thing, something that
was going to take a lot of serious consideration."
The two remained "very, very good friends" from the time the movie wrapped
in 2004 until after Pitt and Aniston announced their separation in January
2005, Jolie says.
Jolie says that the time she spent getting to know Pitt before his split was
"not as exciting as what a lot of people would like to believe. We spent a
lot of time contemplating and thinking and talking about what we both wanted
in life and realized that we wanted very, very similar things.
"And then we just continued to take time. We remained very, very good
friends - with this realization - for a long time," she says. "And then life
developed in a way where we could be together, where it felt like something
we would do, we should do."
In fact, it was her son, Madddox, now 5, who helped seal the deal. (Jolie
and Pitt are also parents to Zahara, 23 months, and Shiloh, 6 months.) One
day, Maddox "just out of the blue called him Dad," says Jolie. "It was
amazing. We were playing with cars on the floor of a hotel room, and we both
heard it and didn't say anything and just looked at each other. So that was
probably the most defining moment, when he decided that we would all be a
family."
Jolie also says she'd be willing to meet with Aniston, but "That would be
her decision, and I would welcome it."
Pitt has said he and Jolie would not wed until all couples can legally
marry, and Jolie agrees that tying the knot is not a priority. "We both have
been married before, so it's not marriage that's necessarily kept some
people together," she says. "We are legally bound to our children, not to
each other, and I think that's the most important thing."

DeVito: "View" Stunt Was a Joke!
Posted Dec 12th 2006 10:50AM by TMZ Staff
Danny DeVito says his wacky appearance on "The View" was the result of being
"groggy" after a wild night with George Clooney ... not because he was
drunk.
The funnyman appeared to be wasted during the chat show, which included a
rant against President Bush -- much of which was bleeped out by censors. He
also cursed the "seven limoncellos" he drank the previous night.
In his first TV appearance since the incident, DeVito tried to clear up the
situation last night on CNBC's "Conversations with Michael Eisner," telling
the media mogul, "I was funny ... I was a little groggy ... I was joking,
that was a joke." Ah, c'mon, that's a little Mickey Mouse.
Danny added, "The media is a little bit cuckoo." And thanks for making it
so, Danny!
