NY POST...PAGE 6

THERE'S a new freebie whore at large, and his name is Kevin Federline.
Britney Spears' ex has been going to any and all parties as long as
there is free booze and swag. His latest stop was Thursday at the
Armani Exchange store in L.A.'s Sunset Plaza, where he picked up
thousands of dollars of A/X duds "to wear to the Armani
Exchange/Details magazine party later that night." Fed-ex and his posse
of grifters arrived in a rented Maybach and proceeded to guzzle down
free liquor and left with a group of "giggling girls."

IMO, Hoffman is sexy (talent, humor and intelligence count for a hell of
a lot) and Di was not remotely gorgeous. <shrug>

Di was involved in many charitites and humanitarian efforts. She was a
loving mother. She wasn't a walking id like Paris Hilton, who couldn't
remember she left her dog at her grandparents' house.

I guess I shouldn't be surprised that I never had much interest in any of
those shows. As for grouping them as a 'rich vs poor' genre? I'm not sure I
see it.

Roseanne was blue collar all the way from the few eps I did see. Yes there
were 'rich' people but I didn't see it as a 'versus' situation.

GG I've seen maybe 90 seconds of it so I can't say authoritatively but I
thought it was a mother/daughter relationship show.

The OC, I watched the pilot. It didn't seem so much about rich versus poor
as the upper middle class soap with a token outsider: A 90210 clone.

UB seemed to be more about beautiful people versus the plebes - not
'rich/poor' per se.

My 2 cents.

The Gilmore Girls is a class clash show? All I see is annoying banter
between the mother & daughter and a guy who always wears a Mets cap
backwards on his head.

Ugly Betty is a show that takes place in some alternate universe where
people who work in fashion can let themselves go, dress like slobs and
it's somehow okay.

The OC is probably the only decent, unpretentious drama on TV, because
it doesn't pretend that it's not about showing as many hot chicks as
possible to get good ratings.

Its common knowledge since he whipped it out on film.

Russell Crowe's losing streak continues. Tenderness is a movie about a
disturb boy and a sexually abused girl and their journey to Albany, NY
from Buffalo NY.

The film starts off with the young boy killing both of his parents and
being sentenced to a youth facility.

The boy gets released and tries to piece his life back together. The
girl lives with her mother who's boyfriend sexually molest her. She is
sexually abused and shows her bra covered breast to the store manager at
her job as he jerks off to avoid doing work.

When the boy is released the girl tracks him down and sneaks in his car
so that she could join him on his road trip. She is secretly in love
with him.

She knew of him before his incarceration and actually witnessed him
murder another teenage girl.

Russel Crowe plays a cop with a very sick wife who new mission in life
is to watch the boy like a hawk and make sure he doesn't kill anyone else.

Russel Crowe's character follows the boy on his road trip and alerts the
police along the way.

The boy met a female inmate while he was incarcerated and longs to see
her again. She lives up in Albany, NY. After he is released from jail he
sets out to meet her. But is the meeting a trap or just two lovebirds
trying to find each other outside of prison.

This movie is duller than dull and is missing character and plot
development. The pace is horrid.

I rate this film as 0.5 stars out of 4.0 stars

Prior to seeing this film I never heard of Edie Segwick. I saw a usenet
thread about her and bob dylan but didn't pay it any mind because I not
a huge dylan fan and I didn't know who edie was.

This film is a biopic about Edith Segwick and her interactions with Andy
Warhol and a dude named Billy Quinn who seemed to be a Bob Dylan-esque
type and her spiral into porn, prostition, drugs and depression.

Edie was sexually abused by her father for a number of years. When
shewas a girl she caught her father banging a neighbor or staff worker
she tells her mom. The mother doesn't believe her and the father has her
locked up in a mental hospital for a period of time.

He brother commits suicide and leaves her emotionally scarred. She
happens to meet Andy Warhol one night and they are immediately drawn to
one another. Edie worships Andy and Andy enjoys the attention. They go
on to collaborate on some trashy experimental films that Edie's father
disapproves of. Her father cuts her off financially and Edie must fend
for herself.

A mutual friend introduces her to a rock/folk star named Billy Quinn
(who seemed to be Bob Dylan but there is never an admission in the film
that Edie and Dylan knew each other. They use this ficticious character,
Quinn, to bridge the gap). Edie and Billy are quite taken with each
other and a love affair ensues.

Andy Warhol becomes quite jealous and cuts Edie off emotionally (since
he's gay and doesn't have heterosexual sex). Andy's mother is a weird
eastern block women that seems to have had a profound effect on Andy.

As Edie becomes torn between Quinn and Andy she experiences financial
difficulty and becomes a drug addict. She lets strange men shoot drugs
into her and film themselves having sex with her.

Quinn tires of Edie hanging around the "leech" Warhol and wants her to
choose him. She declines and he marries someone else and Edie falls
deeper into her depression and desperation.

The pace of the movie was good. the characters were interesting. the
setting was good. the soundtrack was good. the story was interesting.

I rate this film as a 3.0 out of 4.0 stars.

Boy, does THIS deviate from her biography in a BIG way.

You are correct, sir!

Basically, it looks like you and me disagree about politics and that's
about it.

I wonder if there's a word for that sort of thing?

The funniest I ever saw Dane Cook was when he bombed big time at the MTV
Video awards. Seeing him look so uncomfortable while the crickets were
chirping was hilarious.

Winslet is still young and everything is in the same place. When she
hits 40 and everything begins
to droop, sag, spread, and drop, she may have other thoughts on the
subject. British actors seem
to feel that plastic surgery is contrary to their craft. And, although
Hollywood's fixation with look young
and trout lipped is laughable, it is also true that subtle nips and
tucks are one way to keep working in
the industry she has chosen to earn a living.

What is so surprise about a party that is talked about on a NG?
Beyonce, quit giving it away if ya want that ugly man to propose.
Or, get your mama after him with a shotgun and a preacher in tow.

The Republicans support Israel to have a strategic ally in the Middle East.
The Democrats support Israel because most U.S. Jewish people are Democrats.
We all support Israel because it is a rich and impressive society.

But...Jewish immigration to Israel is recognizable as another page in the
long history of European colonialism.

And the historical pattern of colonialism is that the colonists improve
infrastructure, social systems, and markets...and then face pressure from
local or regional demographics.

Of course the creation of the Jewish state by the UN was one of the
solutions to the end of WWII...

--Once upon a time, Nelly was supposed to be a leading lady of a
certain show we talk about pretty often here at WWK Central. She was
sexy, driven, edgy and seemingly perfect for the part-but as it
turned out, she couldn't act her way out of even the most simply
crafted scene. Her one-note performance drove the producers a little
nuts, so they soon began plotting her death. When the death scene
actually went down, the cast and crew gathered together for a party,
and when Nelly bit the dust, the room broke out in raucous cheers.

--This one is short but not sweet. A certain TV star we all love once
text-messaged me (yes, me, your lowly couch potato) at 2 a.m.: "Are we
gonna fick or what?" It was from a BlackBerry that had both the "I" and
"U" on the same key, and I'm proud to say (especially if my fiancé is
listening) that I promptly replied: "Fick you!" (Hmmm...Or was there an
"I'll" before that message? Anyway, you get the gist.)

--Which lead singer of a very hot band was caught getting a blow job
from a fan in the toilets of a pub? Not sure what his girlfriend would
think if she found out about it...

--Which US singing starlet is trying to hide her burgeoning drug habit
from the rest of her celebrity family? This wannabe is starting to mix
with club-hopping cokeheads on both sides of the Atlantic and is
breaking away from her dull wholesome image big time.

--A diminuative, unmarried Hollywood heart-throb - whose career seems
to have stalled of late - stands accused of sending death threats to
the new squeeze of one of his ex-girlfriends. It seems the actor just
can't bear the idea of her getting it on with another man, so has been
regularly calling to warn off his replacement. The phrase 'Get a life'
springs to mind.
